FLOR 16X9

FlorDK

The youth movement Flor invites us to sense together and share our grief over the destruction of nature.

The Danish youth movement Flor invites you to share a collective experience of grief – and create new connections with nature.

With the project Sensing Connections, Flor explores how tuning into our senses, moving together, and being present with ourselves, each other, and other species can help bridge the gap between humans and the natural world.

Through a series of events, festival-goers are invited to connect by sensing, expressing, moving – and by learning to speak the languages of other species.

Mourning Wreath:
Join us in weaving a mourning wreath from materials collected in nature and recycled materials, while we sing a joint guided mourning song. When connecting to each others we make our grief lighter to carry. The workshop takes place at Flokkr.

Sensory tour:
After the wreath workshop, we move as one large organism from Flokkr to The Yard, where we open our senses and use them to explore our surroundings in the garden.

Whale song:
Come and explore other species' perspectives on the world and how we can create closer relationships between humans and nature. We have invited a whale to the festival who will guide us around the Camp Site while we are allowed to speak whale language through the whale's head.

FLOR is a youth movement that works to strengthen biodiversity in Denmark through community-driven activism. They create nature experiences, share knowledge about biodiversity, and initiate new opportunities for action through a joint effort.

Roskilde Festival has teamed up with the organization's FLOR, Youth Network of the Climate Festival, Operation Dagsværk, SAGA, and the Danish Red Cross Youth in an action community we call Flokkr Lab.

You can experience all the Flokkr Lab partners' program content during the Roskilde Festival.

Flokkr Lab is supported by Erasmus+.
