Join a journey where rhythm, soul, and community come together

When critically acclaimed choreographer and dancer Marie Kaae takes over Platform at this year’s Roskilde Festival, you’re invited into an experience filled with energy, music, and presence. Feel the beat of the drum — a rhythm that connects us all.

We don’t just move to the music; we move because of it.
Here, we find peace.

In the performance WIRED, Marie Kaae explores the deep connection between music and dance as intelligent languages, carrying the knowledge and strength of Black traditions. The work is developed and performed by an international and intergenerational cast, each bringing powerful expression and unique skills in an open, empowering act of hope.

The soundtrack is created live on stage through electronic drums, body percussion, beat-making, and poetry. The music draws from genres like Broken Beat, House, and Hip Hop — gritty bass lines blend with melodies and soulful vocals to celebrate both soul and the feminine force within Black culture.

Marie Kaae is an award-winning dancer and choreographer with a background in Street and Club dance genres, specializing in House dance. With over 20 years of experience as a performing artist, Marie has been actively facilitating nightclub events in Copenhagen and Paris since 2010. She is the   co-founder of All We Need which organises club nights and battles, and founder of Wholy Shit which offers holistic educational programs in House dance.

WIRED is co-produced with Dansehallerne, where the performance will premiere in May at their Black Box.
