On 30 June 2025, it will be 25 years since nine men lost their lives during a concert on the Orange Stage. We mark the day of the tragedy with a screening of the documentary Nine Rocks.

Nine Rocks is a deeply personal film by Tor Nygård Kolding and Rikke Selin. Tor was in the crowd that night and was miraculously pulled away from the area where the tragedy occurred.

The film is not a reconstruction of the events, but a reflective journey of memory, exploring themes of guilt, loss and the search for meaning in the meaningless. Through conversations with his family, a priest, his best friend and relatives of those who died, Tor gives voice and imagery to his emotions as a survivor.

The film is a tribute to life, to music, and to the community that Roskilde Festival is built on. It is shown as part of the 25th anniversary commemoration — in respect for those we lost, and as a reminder that we, as a community, carry a shared responsibility for one another.

The film is introduced by the directors, and a representative from the Roskilde Festival gives a short speech in remembrance of the tragedy.
