With his ambitious soundscapes, where digital noise, shoegaze-inspired rock and atmospheric pop merge, Fakethias has not only conquered major festival stages in his native Norway. He has also toured the world, performing at leading clubs and festivals such as Sónar Barcelona. 

As Fakethias, Oslo-based Mathias Humlen has established himself as one of Norway’s most exciting electronic musicians, with a sound defined by dark moods and noisy textures. His debut album Core Echo is evident of that, where Fakethias embraces dreamy melodies and shoegaze influences without severing ties to the experimental electronic scene.

The transformation continues on the stunning 2024 album Afterimage, which draws the listener into a fever-dream-like world where deconstructed and subversive pop music vibrates between digital glitches and analogue textures.
