Using bronze-cast instruments and sounds deeply rooted in Balinese philosophy, Tridatu invites you into a musical space where tradition meets new expression.
The trio consists of Putu Septa, Nyoman Suwida and Gangga Sentana – three of the most respected gamelan musicians from Bali. Their name, Tridatu, refers to three colours and three phases of life: creation, life and death. It represents both a spiritual foundation and a creative framework for their music.
Their sound is ceremonial and reflective, yet also open and explorative. Tridatu bridges ancient traditions with improvisational curiosity, creating new forms through the encounter between musicianship and cultural meaning.
You can also experience Tridatu as part of Teretai Åkande – a collaborative performance that brings together musicians from different cultures and genres in a shared sensory journey.
