During this year’s Roskilde Festival, Aseel Charkie, Benita Minka, and Nina Sikkersoq invite you to partic-ipate in an exploration of what it means to find home.

Drawing on traditions from both Inuit and Palestinian cultures, they will foster a sense of community around the fight for belonging, freedom, and a home. Walk The Long Way Around and get im-mersed into a scavenger hunt, exploring conversations and questions on what it means to have access to the world that has been designed and shaped for decades. Stimulating several different senses on the path, you may find yourself in the end, amid establishing foundations towards a more accessible future.

Before the exploration, Sunday at 12, you are invited to the opening of The Long Way Around. Here you can experience and explore the significance of the bonfire as a gathering point. Join Nordic animist Rune Hjarnø Rasmussen for a ceremonial lighting of the sacred fire that will burn throughout the duration of the festival and is cared for by a group of firekeepers.
