Zar Paulo ^DK

Roskilde Festival and Zar Paulo are a perfect match. We already know this from the sublime concerts that the Aarhus-based band delivered at the festival in 2023 and 2024. Concerts that managed to create a euphoric party atmosphere and prompted reviewers to proclaim Zar Paulo one of the kingdom's leading live bands. 

There is a lot to live up to, but we have no doubt that the five musicians in Zar Paulo will once again create a huge party when they close the Arena stage this year with their eccentric, charming and style-conscious new wave expression. What's more, they are bringing a brand new album in the form of Ex_Europa – the long-awaited follow-up to their excellent debut album Elendig Software (2023). 

With its original take on Danish songwriting wrapped up in a captivating mix of guitar rock and electronic elements, the debut album was hailed as a new classic by Danish media Soundvenue. Judging by singles such as "Telefonperson" and "Paraplyer," Zar Paulo continues to fly the flag high on the new album with both compelling musical power and a skewed satirical view of modern life. 

With fantastic songs, terrific musicianship and one of Denmark's most charming frontmen in the form of Emil Vammen, the stage is set for yet another musical triumph from Zar Paulo, who will undoubtedly put on a spectacular show with a late night concert at the Arena stage.
